Application
Referrals required from the outpatient service at the Centre, family or from other community supports (ie. community school) who are involved with the family. Intensive Treatment Services is a fully voluntary program for those interested and involved.

Description of Services:
An intensive family-based residential and full day milieu service providing programming on-site, in the home and in the community * children, siblings and parents develop and practice new skills to address behavioural and emotional issues

Services include:
  • day treatment
  • in-home support
  • residential program

Day Treatment - Intended for children with significant emotional and behavioural needs that cannot be met through outpatient services * services include specialized individual programming to address the child’s needs, in-home support, and transition planning to ease the process of reintegration back into the community school * treatment spaces are limited

In Home Support - Assists families to identify causes of behaviour, provides assistance and education regarding the most effective parenting strategies in order to to reduce the child’s challenging behaviours

Residential Program - Augments the day-treatment component by providing 24-hour care for some children * these residential beds are utilized between the Windsor-Essex Children’s Aid Society; Chatham-Kent County; and Windsor-Essex
