Description of Services:
Combined orthopedic and plastic surgery unit specializing in the care of patients with disorders of the upper limb
Program includes:
a bioengineering lab
mechatronics lab
cell and molecular biology lab
clinical research lab
specialized rehabilitation services provided by a team of hand
therapists, including:
occupational therapists
physiotherapists
Surgeons do combined clinics with rehabilitation doctors and rheumatologists in London * children are seen in the HULC clinics, but have their operations performed by HULC surgeons at the Children's Hospital of Western Ontario
The Roth McFarlane Hand and Upper Limb Centre includes surgeons, scientists, therapists, nurses, cast technicians, secretaries and others, and has become the largest upper extremity surgical unit in Canada.
