Description of Services:
Companionship, respite care, and emotional support to people and their
family/caregivers dealing with a life-threatening illness * bereavement
support for anyone who has experienced the death of someone close *
services can be provided at home, or in hospitals and long-term care
homes
In-Home Hospice - Screened, trained and experienced Volunteers provide support in the home, hospital, or long-term care facility. Supports are in confidence and include companionship and respite care, practical and emotional supports * service can be weekly or more frequent depending on need
Bereavement Services - Bereavement Support Groups held in various communities twice annually, and one-to-one grief support
