Description of Services:
Outreach programs and services for the community * information and referral service for a wide range of needs

Christmas Hampers - Christmas Hampers include gifts, clothing, festive foods and treats for people in our community who may need assistance and support over the Christmas holidays. Donations of food, gift cards, clothing and toys are assembled and hampers are prepared by a group of BVO volunteers. Please not that BVO is only able to accept applications from families or individuals who reside in The Town of the Blue Mountains/Thornbury/Clarksburg. The names and addresses of all applicants are only known to our Executive Director.

Emergency Assistance - Provides emergency help with food, clothing, and other unique emergency situations. All requests are handled individually in a completely confidential manner. By appointment during our regular office hours  *contact Carolyn Letourneau, 519-599-2577 ext 121

Free Tax Preparation Clinic - Offered under the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program through Revenue Canada * by appointment

Good Food Box - Monthly fruit and vegetable buying cooperative makes healthy food available at a reasonable cost * contact Janice Forbes, 519-599-2577 ext 125

Treasure Shop - Quality used clothing and house wares * donations accepted * shop hours: Tue, Wed, 10am-3pm * Thurs, 12 pm-6 pm * Sat 10am-3pm

  • BVO Preschool BVO Preschool in Thornbury is a non-profit Daycare run under the umbrella of Beaver Valley Outreach. We offer licensed childcare spaces for children 18 months - 5 years old. Our program is facilitated by Registered Early Childhood Educators and governed by Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014. We offer a play-based learning which complements Ontario's Full Day Every Day Learning. At BVO Preschool, your child's needs are met in a safe, nurturing, environment with lots of age appropriate activities.
