Description of Services:
Provides companionship, respite care, and emotional support to people and their family/caregivers dealing with a life-threatening illness * assists with end of life care and grief supports following death * helps people remain independent in their own homes for as long as possible * support provided for all ages at home, hospital, residential or long-term care home * services begin at the time of diagnosis and continue throughout the duration of the illness * grief and bereavement supports also available for anyone experiencing loss

Resource Library - Variety of resources available for loan on subjects such as, End-of-life care, Children/Youth, Grief and Suicide Support * resources include literature, audio and video

Grief and Bereavement Services - Grief support services are available to individuals who need help healing from a loss of any kind, recent or long ago * services are available in a safe, comfortable environment * structured and informal Grief Support Groups are facilitated at various times throughout the year

  • Books and Bears for Kids This program is aimed to provide children with healthy, adaptive ways to manage and normalize feelings around life-limiting illness, loss, and death through proper language and literature.

  • Grief and Bereavement Outreach Provides education  and one-on-one support to both the caregivers, families and the bereaved about the grief process
  •  
  • Palliative Visiting Volunteer Program Psychological and emotional support for anticipatory, acute and chronic grief for people facing the challenge of a life-limiting illness
