Description of Services:
Education programs for members of the community

  • Child Care Centre Licensed child care for the Oneida Community
  •  
  • Language and Culture Program Programs to preserve the Oneida language and culture* Oneida language instruction and translation * development of language resource materials * development and promotion of traditional and contemporary cultural practices
  •  
  • Oneida Nation Head Start Program designed to promote school readiness for preschool children living in the community * daily half-day childcare programs that promote:
    • social support
    • early childhood health and wellbeing
    • Oneida language and culture
    • nutrition
    • parent and child engagement
    • educational opportunities

  • Standing Stone School Community school * Junior Kindergarten to Grade 6
    • Follow the regular Ontario curriculum with Oneida cultural component 
    • Early Years classroom follow full-day kindergarten model with classroom teacher and a certified early childhood educator or educational assistant 
    Daily Oneida language instruction and cultural programming
