Description of Services:

Services to newcomers to support integration into Canadian society

Settlement Program
  • information on community and government programs
  • assistance with completing government and social services applications such as social assistance and health care applications
  • employment information and resources
  • information on English classes
  • assistance with forms and programs such as child benefits, citizenship, permanent resident card renewals, dental care for seniors, pension plans and information on social insurance numbers

Violence Against Women (VAW) Program
  • crisis counselling by telephone or in person
  • support groups
  • information on legal rights and guidance; educational workshops
  • assistance finding transitional housing

Volunteer Program

Connects volunteers to support Centre and community services such as by helping at the food bank

Seniors Program - to enhance the quality of life for people fifty years and older
  • arts and craft workshops, music therapy
  • wellness talks and classes such as Zumba
  • English classes; technology classes
  • education on legal rights; information sessions
  • community connections; volunteer opportunities
