Description of Services:
Provides and advocates for a range of community-based services for people with developmental disabilities including accommodation, employment, respite, community access, planning and family supports

New Vision Advocates - Supports and develops self -advocacy through education, mentoring and active participation in organizational and community life * email advocate@cll.on.ca or call 519-686-3000

Family Support Program - Advocacy, supportive counselling, emotional support and information about community services and supports for families living in London who have a child with a developmental disability who is under 18 years of age * call a Family Support Worker at 519-686-3000 for more details

Person Centred Planning - Planning Facilitators assist people 18 years and over to navigate service system, develop plans, identify personal goals * contact Maureen Tomchick, Manager of Quality Assurance at 519-686-3000 ext 364 or email maureen.tomchick@cll.on.ca

Community Access Services
  • Access Centres - Activities in the areas of leisure, recreation, volunteerism and lifelong learning
  • Community Leisure Connections - Small group leisure activities for adults with a developmental disability

Child, Youth and Transitional Services
  • Facilitating Youth Independence (FYI) - supports youth 18-22 years with a developmental disability transition into community life after high school * community opportunities for leisure, practical learning and volunteering
  • Teach and Play Toy Lending Library - for children and youth 2-15 years * email for information
  • Social Sexual Safety Awareness Training - classes to learn about healthy sexuality in a safe and supportive environment * classes offered on short or long term basis to meet needs of each person * call 519-686-3000 ext 342 for details
  • ASD-Spectrum Leisure Nights - weekly evening programming for children and youth who have autism or are in the autism spectrum * email for information
  • Access Summer Leisure Program - summer day camp with leisure activities for students aged 4-21 years currently registered in a school who have multiple disabilities including a developmental disability *email for information
