Conference: Ottawa Stroke Summit 2017
The 2017 Ottawa Stroke Summit for Physicians and Allied Healthcare Professionals will reflect the current best practices for stroke care, including the most recent developments in endovascular therapies. The course topics will encourage you to connect with, utilize, recommend and refer to specialized regional stroke resources across the continuum of care: from prevention, acute conditions, care management, rehabilitation and through to community.
The 2017 Ottawa Stroke Summit is an innovative conference that is targeted to physicians and allied healthcare team members, and has a stream format that allows you to choose the topics most relevant to your learning needs.
By the end of the conference, participants will be able to:
1) Describe up to date Stroke Best Practice Recommendations as they apply to prevention, treatment and stroke recovery in the Champlain Regional Stroke Network (CRSN);
2) Collaborate to improve incorporation of new stroke recommendations and standards into practice models for outpatient, emergency room, pre-hospital, hospital and community settings in the CRSN;
3) Discuss new and essential hands-on skills required in the treatment of stroke;
4) Interact and network with colleagues, and discuss their practice challenges as related to stroke care through the continuum.
